They were delighted when the announcement was made that Wallendbeen, with Quirindi, were the recipients of the Past Presidents Award.
The award is given to the branch in recognition of “How the Branch serves the Community”. A credit to our members.
The theme of the conference was "Change, Challenge or Opportunity" and commenced with an ecumenical service on the Sunday.
The Governor of NSW, His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC, accompanied by his wife, Linda Hurley, opened the conference. The governor challenged delegates to be "agents for change".
He said there was a need to put the conference programme alongside the number of scones made and sold at the Royal Easter Show.

The delegates enjoyed a variety of speakers including Supt Shane Crib, speaking on rural crime, Sophie Hanson from Orange and Ed Fagan from Cowra.
The delegates from Wallendbeen also commented on the wonderful displays, including handicraft, international and Land cookery.
