From the start of 2012 to the end of 2015, Miss Drew spent the best part of four years, twice a week, doing the return trip from Harden to Canberra for her Bachelor of Education (Primary) course.
It is fair to say that Jamie-Lea is most familiar with every rise and bend on both Barton Highway and Eastern end of Burley Griffin Way.
Victory became her’s this year, as she along with other former University of Canberra students, attended their graduation day at Parliament House on April 6.
Miss Drew is now successfully employed in the nation’s capital as a full time teacher and despite showing a tremendous amount of fortitude, the young teacher is glad that she is no longer commuting such big hours.
“It was a long hard four years, but it has paid off and I absolutely love what I’m doing right now”, the recent graduate said.
