The run will leave Barnes Store in Murrumburrah at 10.30am and after making a pit stop in Bowning, the bikers will arrive at Zac’s Place on Pritchett Street in Yass at about 12.30pm.
Anyone interested should arrive for breakfast at 8.30am in Murrumburrah before taking part in the run.
Once the group arrives in Yass there will be a sausage sizzle and all donations of new or quality blankets will be accepted. Later in the afternoon the blankets will be presented to Vinnies and Salvos for their support of people in rural areas.
Along with the flagship residence on Pritchett Street, Zacs’ Place is opening up a community gym and another residence in Murrumburrah to go with the crisis housing that was established earlier this year.
Zac’s Place stalwart Glenn Stewart, who now works full-time in his role with the organisation, said it's extremely important that people support this blanket run.
"We have a really strong motorcycling community around here so we want to get those people involved," he said.
"There's always great charity events in major cities but it's also needed in rural communities and that's always been the focus of Zac’s Place."
Mr Stewart said it was important to note the event wasn't just for keen motorcycle enthusiasts.
"We'd love anyone to come along to Zac’s Place on the weekend. The more blanket donations the better and the bigger the event is, the more successful it will be.
"We're very keen to continue to keep this as an annual event long into the future."
