It took just three minutes for Luke Brown to open the scoring and from there the tone of the match was set.

Hosting the Crookwell Green Devils at McLean Oval last Saturday, the Hawks were always looking for a win and attacked with intent right from the outset.
The first half was one-way traffic as the hosts repeatedly exploited Crookwell’s defensive gaps.
Nathan Schofield scored in the seventh minute and Josh Quinn got over 10 minutes later.
Five minutes later Luke Thurkettle got over the line, and perfect kicking from Andrew Jones had the scoreline reading 24-0 before Crookwell had a chance to breathe.
The visitor’s frustration was evident in the very next play- they turned the ball over right from the kick off, booting it well wide of the sideline.
Duncan Stewart showed no mercy in the resulting play when he scored his side’s fifth try on the 25th minute.
Another try to Stewart before half-time had the scoreboard showing 32-0 and the game all but over.
The Hawks’ onslaught continued in the second half as Luke Brown, Alex Stewart and Matt Schofield all scored within the opening ten minutes.
The remaining half hour of the match brought some respectability back to Crookwell, who managed two tries in quick succession.
They also held the Hawks back to only two more tries, but it was too little too late for any semblance of parity.
The final score read 56-10, Jones kicking an impressive eight goals from ten tries.
Coach Michael Quinn said he was very happy with his side’s performance and is looking forward to taking on Boomanulla Raiders away this weekend.
The tough preseason training regime has clearly paid off for the Hawks, who currently lead the George Tooke Shield ladder and remain the only undefeated side after just three rounds.
They will have a better understanding of how they stack up in the competition after round six though as they face ADFA Knights Reds and Bungendore Tigers in the coming weeks.
The Hawkettes also enjoyed a win on the weekend, getting their own back against the She Devils after losing on the road in round two.
The women led comfortably at half-time thanks to a solid defensive effort and tries from Emma James, Emilie Quinn and Lucy Spackman.
Whilst they didn’t score in the second half, the hosts limited their opponents to just one try to seal a 14-4 victory.
They face Yass Girlpies again this weekend as Boomanulla do not have a league tag side.
