“I want to help people who are not feeling well,” Danon said.
Jennifer has been living with Multiple Sclerosis for six years, a chronic illness that has taken its toll; she has relapsed 17 times since diagnosis.
Jennifer plans to swim for three hours during the mega swim, and Danon will swim as many laps as he can.
She hopes swimming training will improve her quality of life.
“I have a little boy who needs me; I want to be around for as long as I can for him,” she said.
Funds raised will go towards the MS Society; an institution that has provided much-needed support for Jennifer and her family such as lawn mowing services and funding an overseas holiday.
Danon and Jennifer are appealing for donations. To help visit megaswim.com click on ‘Donate’, search for Danon Peet and contribute what you can.
