“These packs are a great way to help parents talk to children who are starting school next about road safety,” she said.
“When kids start school they spend more time around roads and it is important they develop road safety skills.
“The packs include height charts to help ensure parents are using the most appropriate car seats for these little ones.
“The packs come with Safety Town DVD’s, fact sheets, fridge magnets and fun stickers to remind children about using the passenger side to get in and out of the car - what we call the safety door.
“They also include a handy car seat safety guide, which helps parents make the most informed decision about the safest car seat for their child.”
Local schools wanting to order Kindergarten Orientation Day Road Safety Packs can place orders by contacting the Burrinjuck Electorate Office on 02 6227 7235, freecall 1800 00 2580 or email: burrinjuck@parliament.nsw.gov.au
