Mr Glen Howe drove the bus for the six-hour journey to the destination. Upon arrival they set up their lodge and walked around the camp to discover the activities they would explore during the week.
The students experienced kayaking, BMX bush riding, archery, canoeing, sailing, rock climbing, high ropes course, damper making and initiatives course, swimming, wombat hole and giant swing. Students also had free time to play tennis, soccer, basketball, giant chess or just talk to new friends.
The other schools at the camp were from Sydney and were very multicultural and it was interesting to hear about their backgrounds and what they did at their schools.
A huge thank you to Mr Howe who drove the bus up, then home, then back up to collect us at the end of the week. Thanks also to Mr Wade who drove up to the camp so our luggage could come home.
We also thank the Harden District Education Foundation for their financial support in making Year Six camp happen.
All students had a wonderful time and experienced activities that they normally would not get a chance to participate in.
