Centenary airmail flight Sunday

Updated July 10 2014 - 8:10am, first published 8:08am

A drawing of a Bleriot that French aviator Maurice Guillaux used on the first airmail flight between Melbourne and Sydney. When that first flight touched down in Harden 100 years ago more than 1,000 turned to witness the spectacle. Celebrations of that flight are being held at the Harden Racecourse on Sunday, July 13, and gates open to public at 11am. There will be stalls and entertainment for visitors ahead of the arrival of the planes taking part in the re-enactment flight at about 2.30pm.
