A 19-year-old woman who allegedly ran her father down in Lakelands last month has had her charges upgraded to murder.
Veronika-Leigh Meleane Pahuru faced Perth Magistrates Court today after her previous charge of grievous bodily harm was upgraded following a post mortem examination.
She was not required to enter a plea.
Her father, 41-year-old Kaiawa Pahuru, died after being hit by a Nissan Navara utility allegedly driven by Ms Pahuru on Catalina Drive on Friday, July 20 about 6.30pm.
He died from his injuries at Peel Health Campus a short time later.
It is believed the pair had been involved in a dispute shortly before the incident.
Major crime squad detectives launched an investigation into the crash and arrested Ms Pahuru and two men at a home in Camillo.
The two men were charged with wilfully and unlawfully damaging property and will face Mandurah Magistrates Court on August 24.
Ms Pahuru is due to face Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on August 22.
