MURRUMBURRAH Public School’s organising committee is well on the way with preparations for the school’s sesquicentenary on Saturday and Sunday, September 8 and 9.
This will be a great weekend for students, staff and families, both past and present, to share anecdotes and celebrate this milestone in the school’s history.
Highlights of the weekend include a dinner on Saturday night at the Mechanic’s Institute, publication of a booklet, an ecumenical service followed by school performances, opening of the time capsule and tours of the school.
Staff and students are also doing their part with the mosaic garden area, designed by SLSO Miss Amanda.
The restoration of tables and organisation of memorabilia for the historical room in the existing Drop-in Centre are underway.
