Chamber business awards open

THE Harden Murrumburrah Chamber of Commerce and Industry is conducting its second annual business awards.

Chamber president Ralph Hawkins said this week said the awards were now open and that nominations closed on August 5.

The winners will be announced at a dinner on September 22. Last year 86 people attended the highly successful dinner.

The awards are being conducted with the support of the Harden Rotary Club and the NSW Department of Trade and Investment.

The awards will be judged for five people who are independent of the chamber

The award categories are: best trainee/apprentice, most improved business, best employee, best customer service orientated business and most community engaged business.

The winner of the overall business award last year was the Long Track Pantry at Jugiong.

Nomination forms for the awards can be found at Thompson Rural Supplies, Harden Murrumburrah Express, Terracotta Restaurant, Jugiong Motors, Wombat Hotel, Panthers Hair and Beauty Saloon Harden Bearings and Hardware, Harden Butchery and the Galong Community Post Agency.
