The local derby saw Healys play Gilchrists at Roberts Park.
Healys won the toss and elected to bat first.
The first pairing of Jeremy and Sean faced some outstanding bowling, the highlight being a hat trick to Nic Fuller in the second over.
The partnership scored 11.
They were followed by Luke and Deryk who also found runs hard to come by against accurate bowling and fielding and scored a total of 8.
At this stage the team total was only 7 owing to the number of outs.
It was the turn of Bryce and Alex to bat and this pair attacked the bowling scoring a much needed 36 with no outs against them.
They were followed by John and Jeremy (batting again) who scored 10 and then
Deryk and Luke batting for a second time 9.
Total score was 74 less outs 52.
Bryce top scored with 26 including 3 boundaries.
The team missed Todd who can always be relied upon to score off the bat.
He was sick and unable to play. Defending such a small total was not going to be easy but after the first three pairings from Gilchrists their team total was 13 runs behind, thanks to excellent bowling from Jeremy, ably
supported by Luke.
The boys then did not sustain this great start with some poor fielding allowing Gilchrists to come through and take the match by 14 runs.
Best bowler was Luke 3 - 12, followed by Jeremy 2 - 11.
Deryk 2 - 9, John 1 - 9, Alex 1 - 7 and Sean 1 - 19.
The team needs to concentrate on fielding and making sure they do not concede the high number of overthrows that were gift runs to the opposition this
week.
Next week Healys have the bye then will have their last match before the Christmas break at home.
