No5 Pennant team take out Zone 8 final

24 Jun, 2010 08:09 AM
The No5 pennant teams put up a fantastic effort in the zone 8 pennant play offs at Temora last Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday, they defeated Walla Walla in a quarter final then backed up Sunday morning to defeat Ungarie in the semi final.

Then Sunday afternoon came up against the very strong Tumut RSL who had a couple of players who play in the premier league with the Riverina Rollers.

However, the Harden boys were in great form and proved a little too good for the Tumut team and played themselves into the state pennant play offs at the Cootamundra Country Club on July 31.

A great effort by the club to be in the last sixteen in the state and this is the first ever time the Harden club has reached this level in the No5 pennants.
