The club hosted the South West district bowing association champion of club champions singles over last weekend and some very good bowls was witnessed by spectators.

Grahame Edgerton (Quandialla) Defeated Adam McGeachie (Binalong) 31/26
Frank O’Brien (Young) Defeated Ron Rosengreen (Coota C.C) 31/12
Sunday afternoon final
Grahame Edgerton (Quandialla) defeated Frank O’Brien (Young) 31/18
Grahame was in brilliant form and established a big lead of 19/4 early in the match and was never likely to be run down by frank that did play some nice bowls late in the game but the horse had bolted.
Mator club singles championship.
Tony Fisher defeated Warren Chesworth 31/5
Tony was much too experienced for Warren and won easily. Warren tried hard but could never get in the match but will benefit from the experience.
Minor singles
Tom Chesworth defeated Cody Vincent 31/17
Both Bowlers are learners who have only been playing bowls for a short time however they both played some nice bowls. Tom was a little to consistent for junior bowler Cody and won easily. Both bowlers show a lot of promise.
Mixed pairs Championship
Danny Vincent and June Davis defeated John Maynard and Pauline Maynard 25/18
A very eventy fought match right up until the last few ends where John and Pauline let 13/12 However Danny and June struck a purple patch scoring nine shots of three ends to race away to the winning lead of eight shots. The last five ends saw John and Pauline pick up five shots to Danny and June’s four to go down by seven shots.
Ladies bowls last Wednesday
Robyn Apps, Joan Clark, Pauline Maynard and Chris Hancock travelled to young for their versatility day they played well to win a couple of games but missed out on the prize money.
Saturday at Quandialla
Kelly Daley, Robyn Apps and Jenny Ricketts travelled to Quandialla for presidents day they had an enjoyable day but no prizes.
Local Bowlers Brian Maddey, Terry Ricketts, Tony Fisher and Allen Tobin represented the club at the south west district president presidents day they played very well to win both their matches but it was not good enough to get into the money.
David Bodell, John Curtis and Kelly Daley represented the club at the Stockinbingal mixed triples last Sunday. They played well to win one of two matches however missed out on any prize money.
Club championship matches will continue over next weekend and the following matches have been set down to play.
