Local trainers bring home goods

15 Jul, 2010 09:08 AM
Local trainers took out two of the six races at last Friday’s Cowra Picnic Races.

Taking out the Elders/Crop Care/Bundaberg Rum Class B Handicap over 1000m was trainer Tricia Anderson with her horse Coldstream Hill.

Coldstream Hill is an eight-year-old chestnut gelding owned by Robert Lont of Victoria.

Riding the horse to victory was Tricia’s husband Robert Anderson who rode one winner and a second for the day.

Tricia had two other runners for the day, unfortunately neither running a place, one of which is owned by

stable foreman Noel Sargent.

Also bringing home the goods was Harden trainer Mike Harley whose horse Sonar galloped home to take the win in the Beechers Wool Services/Geronimo Farm Equipment Class B handicap by a nose from Victory Bird.

Sonar was ridden by Mark Webber who is trailing the NSW Approved Riders Premiership by half a win to our local jockey Robert Anderson.
