Natalie closer to London

20 Jan, 2012 11:00 AM
EQUESTRIAN Natalie Blundell, formerly from Harden, has moved a step closer to achieving her goal of representing Australia at the London Olympics with the announcement this week that she has been selected in the 2012 Eventing National Elite Squad by Equestrian Australian.

A spokesperson for Equestrian Australia said being selected for the elite squad for the Olympics was a very significant step towards making the final team, which will be announced in June.

Twelve years ago Natalie was hotly tipped for the Sydney games, however, her horse Billy Bathgate broke down in the lead up to the games and her hopes were dashed. Natalie is now riding her new horse Algebra and is in a strong position to join the team headed for London.
