Both the local Men and women cricketers celebrated their year of achievements at the Country Club on Saturday night with their end of season bash and presentation night.
On the night several awards were handed out to members of the Harden Country Club merrin Cup Cricket side that made their way into the finals for the second year in a row.
Award recipients and their outstanding figures where as follows:
Best Bowling: Jarrod Sharman with 27 Wickets and a best of 4/5.
Best Batter: Bill Stanley with 275 runs for the season for an average of 55 and a best of 73.
Best All-rounder: Rob Barron with 245 runs for the season for a 41 run average and 23 wickets.
The Five Ball Haul: Simon Doolan 5/6 versus Central Hotel 1.
Player of the final series: Bill Stanley with 3 wickets and 111 runs and Simon Doolan with 11 wickets and 50 runs.
The cricketers would like to thank the Harden Country Club for their valued and continuing support and ensured that they would be back bigger and better for next season’s onslaught for Merrin Cup Glory.
The local women cricketers who won their third consecutive win in the Cootamundra Competition also vowed to take a fourth scalp to cement their dominance on the series.
For a long time Cootamundra has been know as the local cricket capital but with the best facilities in the region right here in Harden with Tim Doolan Oval and outstanding results from both the men and women, that is quickly changing with Harden earning a renowned reputation in the local cricket scene.
