HARDEN Shire Council is currently developing its 20 year community strategic plan which will be aimed at reflecting the way those living in the shire would like to see their community as a place to live in 20 years time.
Council wants to engage with the community to produce a plan that reflects community views and is owned by the Harden Shire community.
The council has engaged the firm of Linqage International to undertake a series of public meetings and a survey to assist in gaining an understanding of the Harden Shire community’s views on key issues.
Public meetings will be held in the following locations during February to seek community input into the plan.
The meetings will be held in the Jugiong Community Hall on Monday, February 6, starting at 6.30pm; the Wombat Community Hall on Tuesday, February 7, starting at 6.30pm, and the Galong Community Hall on Wednesday, February 8, starting at 6.30pm.
The council wants the local community to take part in these meetings and provide the feedback that will allow it to develop a community plan that will remain relevant for the next 20 years.
