The barbecue was prepared by Hospital Advisory Committee members. Beautiful salads, cakes, sandwiches and biscuits were supplied by Carmel Brown and some of her committee members.

A very large birthday cake was presented, cut and distributed by the nurse manager Kerry Menz to all present.

Many community members attended this special day, which depicted how highly thought of all the town’s nursing staff are and how much their great work ethic is appreciated by all townsfolk.

Locals present included Doctor Sazeed Islam, Harden Shire Council general manager Max Kershaw, Harden mayor Chris Manchester, Dr. Jennifer J. Rahman ( Wife to Dr. Islam ) Nina Horton, members from the Ladies Hospital Auxiliary Committee, Local Health Service Advisory Committee members and others.
