Celebration of teaching

After a teaching career spanning thirty three years, Stewart Bruce, respected proncipal of Murrumburra High School, has retired.

Educated at Lithgow High School and then at Sydney University, Stewart commenced his teaching career in 1973 in the faculty of Science at Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School.

After six years at Farrer, he moved to Peel High School in Tamworth and then, in 1980, to Lake Cargelligo Central School as the Head Teacher (Science/Maths).

It was here that Stewart gained valuable experience in guiding a small, rural country high school.

In 1992, when Stewart gained, through merit selection, the position of Principal at Murrumburrah High School.

Murrumburrah High School has benefited from his experience and expertise.
