A new record for Demondrille Merino Stud

21 Feb, 2008 10:13 AM
The Davis family from Demondrille Merino Stud have been busy celebrating their highest price ever achieved for a stud ram after taking in $10 000 for a ram at the recent Armidale Show and Ram sale.

The Superfine Ram, a progeny of the 2004 Sydney Royal Easter Show, Supreme Merino; “Demondrille Doon” was also the winner of the superfine section at Armidale. From the three rams taken to Armidale the Demondrille team achieved top results winning two out of the four sections, with their superfine and fine-medium rams. Their superfine ram was also announced as runner-up for Supreme Ram at Armidale.

The Show and Ram sale at Armidale saw one of the biggest superfine line ups in Australia for the past few years, with 26 rams on offer. Patrick Davis from Demondrille Merino Stud said, “I hadn’t seen a line up as big for years, usually 14-16 is a big line up in most places.”

The Demondrille Stud’s success at Armidale and the top dollar achieved is testament to the hard work put in by the Davis family of Demondrille and the growing buyer confidence in their quality stud rams.
