The carnival creates an opportunity for high profile NRL players to go ‘back to the bush’ and visit communities such as Harden in rural and remote Australia.
30 Jan 09 | Record numbers turned out for the Australia Day celebrations in the Harden Shire on Monday with the day getting underway with over 400 turning out for breakfast in Newson Park in Harden.
The sounds of Les Graham and the Stewart Bruce Ensemble filled the air with Australian ballads and some outstanding Jazz numbers, whilst the crowds lined up for the breakfast fare prepared by a long line of volunteers.

After attending an open trial at the end of last football season, Alex made a great impression and was invited to join the Raiders Junior Train-On Squad.

According to Murray Wilkinson from GrainCorps Wagga office, the season was much better than the last two years, although this season did have its challenges such as the wet weather at harvest time hampering the harvest efforts for local farmers.
