28 Nov 08 | At the November Council meeting a late report by the General Manager concerning 25 Iris Street Murrumburrah was tabled. Prior to the meeting councillors had met at the residence in question to help them to get a better understanding of the condition of the property.
28 Nov 08 | The tough new alcohol rules regulations and bad weather was not to deter the 1500 people who made it to the Harden Racecourse for this year’s Harden Picnic Races.
Saturday morning did not start out all that favourable with a cold snap and the wind blowing in a hail storm. But with so much preparation going into the event by the hardworking organisers the races went ahead as scheduled.
20 Nov 08 | The Harden Country Club Merrin Cup cricketers cruised to another easy victory against Stockinbingal on Saturday, at home on Tim Doolan Oval.
Nathan Schofield lost the toss and was asked to bowl first. Jarrod Sharman struck early with two quick wickets to have Stock in deep trouble. And from that point on they never really recovered.

13 Nov 08 | For the past few years the Harden Picnic Races have been without a single major sponsor. Instead of a single major sponsor several local businesses and groups now assist in the running of the Harden Picnic Cup by jointly sponsoring the main race of the day.
13 Nov 08 | Remembrance Day was a very sombre affair in the Harden Shire this year with only around 20 people gathering at the Cenotaph in Newson Park for the national day of remembrance.
Originally called Armistice Day, Remembrance Day commemorates the end of the hostilities for the Great War (World War I) and the
signing of the armistice, which occurred on 11 November 1918 on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
06 Nov 08 | Local Polocrosse riders returned home last week victorious after a very successful outing at the National Polocrosse Championships held recently at the State Equestrian Centre at Brigadoon, in the Upper Swan area of Western Australia.
06 Nov 08 | After the reduced swimming season last year due to upgrades and the installation of the wet deck taking longer than expected, the re-opening of the Harden Memorial Swimming Pool took place last Saturday. It did however appear for a while that the pool would not be full when the gates opened to the public.
